  Rang up 15 minutes before arriving and booked for myself, partner and Russ our dog. Staff were really friendly and the food was excellent from start to finish. We would definitely recommend this pub!

  We could not believe the quality of the food in such a small, isolated village. We were travelling along the A68 towards the A1 and are VERY PLEASED that we stopped-off for a meal. More people should do exactly that to experience the food quality...not cheap for pub food, but far FAR better than that. Give it a try!
